How hot is a sauna? How overrated is pineapple on pizza? In Wavelength one player, the psychic, knows exactly where the target sits on a scale between two opposites and gives a single clue. Everyone else tries to land the needle on it.

How to play
- Each turn one player is the psychic. They see a scale, for example Cold to Hot, and a hidden target on it.
- The psychic types a short clue that points to that spot, like "a sauna".
- Everyone else turns the dial to where they think the clue points and locks in.
- The target is revealed. The closer your needle, the more you score, and the psychic scores the team average.
Scoring
- The scale runs from 0 to 100. Within 3 of the target (bullseye): 400 points.
- Within 8: 300 points. Within 14: 200 points. Within 20: 100 points.
- The psychic gets the average of all guessers' points.
Settings
Rounds (1 to 3, everyone is the psychic once per round), clue time (30 to 90 seconds) and guess time.
Tips
- Think about the extremes first: what would be 0 and what would be 100?
- As the psychic, avoid words that are already on the scale.
- A great icebreaker for teams: the clues show how people think.
