Undercover: find who has a different word

Everyone gets a secret word, but not everyone gets the same one. The civilians share a word, the undercover agents get a related one, and Mr. White gets nothing at all. Nobody is told which side they are on.

How to play

  1. Everyone sees their word. The civilians might get "Coffee" while the undercover gets "Tea". With 5 or more players, Mr. White can join: he gets no word and has to bluff.
  2. Players take turns giving one short clue about their word. Be precise enough to prove you belong, but vague enough not to help the infiltrators.
  3. After every round of clues, everyone votes. The player with the most votes is out, and their role is revealed.
  4. The civilians win once every undercover and Mr. White is out. The infiltrators win when they are as many as the civilians left. An eliminated Mr. White can still win by guessing the civilians' word.
